SEAT Ireland’s success in 2019 continues as the SEAT Tarraco wins the award for the best Irish Large SUV of the Year 2020 at the prestigious Irish Car of the Year Awards.
Two thirds of young children do not travel correctly or safely when transported by car, according to the British organisation Child Seat Safety. It is not just a question of them not using a mandatory child seat, but other mistakes that can have serios consequences in the event of an accident. For example, this study points out that in most cases an inadequate restraint system is used or that children are not restrained correctly. According to Spain’s Traffic Department, the difference between correct and incorrect use can reduce the risk of casualty by 75% and injuries by 90%. All you have to do is follow some basic rules:
SEAT’s Tarraco SUV will soon be available as a plug-in hybrid FR model, as well as in a sporty FR trim for other engine variants. The new Tarraco plug-in hybrid form’s part of SEAT’s strategy towards electrification, which will include five electric and plug-in hybrid SEAT and CUPRA models by the beginning of 2021.Read more
SEAT Ireland continues to grow its position as one of the fastest growing car brands in the Irish market with April sales increasing by a significant 17% year on year resulting in a market share of 3.6% for the month of April.
SEAT sales are up 8% year to date with a strong market share of 3.4% up from 2.9% same time last year. All of this is occurring in a car market which is down some 8.5% so far in 2019 meaning SEAT is continuing to outperform the Irish market.
